Lines Rocking horse - Pixie

Lines rocking horse

Pixie is a Lines Bros 'Sportiboy' horse from between about 1935 - 1940. She has been fully restored and is now ready for a new small rider or maybe an older admirer.

I've taken the liberty of fitting a non-standard saddle as I prefer this pattern to the Sportiboy style but it could be changed. It has adjustable stirrup leathers and a buckled girth. The actual saddle is nailed to the horse for safety - it will not slip round.

The bridle, martingale and crupper are removable - again not how it would have been originally - the tack would all have been nailed on. I could replace it with nail-on strapping if wanted.

There are a few old woodworm holes in one of the cross pieces under the bottom rail - well treated with preservative as a precaution. The stand is solid and strong.

38" high x 44" long
